LGBT Awareness Raising workshops are
designed to create a positive understanding of LGBT issues, in a space that is
safe for individuals to explore LGBT issues. The workshop also challenges some
of the myths attached to concepts of homosexuality and transsexuality.
The workshop is
facilitated by Toddy Hogan from LINC and Dave Roche
from Gay Men’s Community Development Project who have extensive
experience of delivering awareness training to a wide spectrum of groups and
organisations.

Never Give Up • Shine a light for LGBT people • bullied, depressed or confused.
Never Give Up is a campaign to shine a light for all LGBT people that may be bullied, feel depressed or confused with life. This Campaign and future Film will demonstrate that life is for living, and no matter how difficult it may become, please Never Give Up, as things can get a lot better for you.

Arklow LGBT Social Drop-in • Irish Queer Archive Exhibition • 5th – 18th Oct ’12
This is the first time that the Irish Queer Archive has come to Arklow, thanks to the newly formed Arklow LGBT Social Group, The Community Foundation for Ireland & Dt Media Ireland.
The Queer archive exhibition is a wonderful exhibition. Truly an eye opener to those who participate with in the LGBT Community as well as those who move around the periphery with out really noticing the community exists. Everyone welcome.
Tonie Walsh of the Irish Queer Archive has been busy this year bringing the exhibition around the Southeast, his enthusiasm is infectious.

Ms & Mr Gay Wexford Coronation • 2012/ 13
Congratulations Simon Landon, Mr Gay Wexford 2012/ 13 and Charlene Kuhn, Ms Gay Wexford 2012/ 13.
We held their Coronation on the 21st of September in the The Bailey Café and Bar, Barrack Street (Island Road), Enniscorthy, County Wexford.
Ms Gay Ireland is a national competition celebrating LGBT women from all over Ireland. Working on LGBT awareness and visibility . Ms Gay Ireland
Mr Gay Ireland is an All Island project to promote the self esteem of young gay men and to support HIV/Aids, treatment & research in St. James Hospital. Mr Gay Ireland
The search began at the end of June 2012, the word went out on the Internet, via GaySE.net our Facebook, and the GayWex LGBT Info Portal, we posted posters, contacted media and talent scouted for eligible candidates.
Simon applied online via the GaySE.net entry form. Simon is 34 years old, a parttime hair stylist and lives in Rosslare, County Wexford. Simon will represent Coounty Wexford as Mr Gay Wexford 2012/ 13 at the The Mr Gay Ireland Grand Final taking place over the October Bank Holiday Weekend. Simon is fundraising for St James Hospital.
Charlene was talent scouted at this years Waterford Pride Festival. Charlene is 22 years old and from Tomhaggard, County Wexford. Charlene will represent County Wexford at Ms Gay Ireland 2012 taking place in The George, Dublin on November 23rd!
Now Simon and Charlene must prepare for their respective Gay Ireland National finals.

The show was opened by Ms Victoria De Tampax, following and interview with Simon and Charlene she later presided over their coronation. The formalities of the evening concluded the evening continued with Karaoke, a dance demonstration and a beautiful a cappella song from Charlene
