Announcing the inaugural Gay In South East Awards 2011 atTower Hotel Waterford on the 29th April 2011.
The awards are open to anyone from the South East incorporating – Waterford, Kilkenny, Wexford, Tipperary, Carlow, Laois and Kildare.
The public may vote until April 8th at which point, the 5 nominees in each catogory will be announced. The panel featuring a representative from each county will then choose the winners to be announced on the night.
- Entertainter of the year (Any entertainer performing in gay venues or events in the South East)
- Event of the year (Any LGBT event taking place in the South East)
- Gay Friendly Business of the year (Any business with exceptional relations with the LGBT community)
- Hall Of Fame (Anyone who has made LGBT life better here in the South East and Ireland as a whole)
- LGBT Business of the year (Any LGBT business in the South East)
- LGBT Organisation of the year (Any LGBT organisation opperating in the South East)
- LGBT Person of the year (Any LGBT person who has made a substantial contribution to the LGBT community in the South East)
- Scene DJ of the year (Any DJ performing on the gay scene or at gay events in the South East)
- Social Group of the year (Any currently active LGBT social group in the South East)
- Straight of the year (Any person who identifies as straight who has made a contribution to LGBT life in the South East)
- Volunteer of the year (Any volunteer working with or on behalf of the LGBT community in the South East)
